She is 30 metres long and 10 metres wide, steel hulled and timber decked.
The Emmylou offers steaming with accommodation and fine cuisine for those who are looking for that something extra. 1, 2 and 3 night cruises are available, along with lunch and evening cruises where you can sit back and enjoy a relaxing meal. Paddlesteamer Canberra:

The PS Canberra is an enjoyable way to cruise the Mighty Murray River, and capture the essence of yesteryear.
Built 1912, Fully Restored 2003 driven by a superb 1923 wood-fired Marshall compound steam engine.
The Canberra has a fine history of service in the Echuca area and is loved by many. With her smooth lines she seems to glide along the surface of the river. Sunset dinner cruises are a great way to unwind, or you can join one of the many daily cruises on offer. The Canberra is also a much sought after function boat which has happily hosted many weddings and parties. Step back in time when you board the and catch a little of the essence of times gone past.

P.S. Pevensey is named after a sheep property on the Murrumbidgee River called Pevensey Station. In the old days P.S. Pevensey carried 120 tons of cargo. The Pevensey collected bales of wool from station properties and brought them to the Echuca wharf. At the Port of Echuca the wool was loaded onto trains and taken to Melbourne for shipping overseas.
When the river trade ended the Pevensey was tied up at Mildura. It came to Echuca to be restored in 1973. Fixing the boat was no easy task - for the first year high rivers prevented much work being carried out. Each piece of new timber for the hull was matched against the original then cut to shape using an adze - a technique used by boat builders for centuries.
Today trucks carry cargo, so the Pevensey works as a tourist boat at the Port of Echuca. The Pevensey is able to carry 100 people on each cruise. The Pevensey is special because it is an authentic paddlesteamer with its original steam engine. Today the Pevensey is known to people all over the world for its role as “Philadelphia” in the Australian television mini-series ‘All the River Run’, made in Echuca in 1982-1983.

P.S. Alexander Arbuthnot is so named after the former owner of the Arbuthnot Sawmills at Koondrook - Alexander (“Squire”) James Cooke Arbuthnot. His father, Alexander (“Sandy”) Arbuthnot was the founder of the Sawmills.
The hull of P.S. Alexander Arbuthnot was built in Koondrook by shipwright Charles Felshaw and in 1916 she began life as a barge. It wasn’t until 1923 when she was commissioned and then towed to Echuca for the fitting of engine, boiler and superstructure that she commenced her new job as a working steamer and for many years she towed barges laden with redgum logs from the nearby forests for the Arbuthnot Sawmills.
P.S. Alexander Arbuthnot worked at the mill until the 1940s. She was replaced by the P.S. Hero and onsold to charcoal producers at Barmah who used her to bring bagged charcoal to the Echuca Wharf during World War II.
In 1947, after the war ended, she became redundant and eventually sank. A group of volunteers from Shepparton raised her in 1972 for use at the International Village Theme Park but in 1989, P.S. Alexander Arbuthnot was bought by the Echuca City Council for further restoration by the Port of Echuca.
She was recommissioned in December 1994 and became the youngest boat to join the fleet at the Port of Echuca.
Today, P.S. Alexander Arbuthnot cruises daily at the Port of Echuca. She can carry up to 47 passengers and has over 25,000 visitors a year. P.S. Alexander Arbuthnot (or “AA” as she is affectionally known) is special because she is the last paddlesteamer to be built as a working boat on the Murray River during the riverboat trade era.

The Captain and crew know the river intimately and are delighted to share with you their knowledge and stories. The lounges and dining saloon are spacious with a character and charm of yesteryear. PS Marion River Murray Cruises: Built in 1897, the PS Marion provides a unique opportunity to experience the thrills and mysteries of the golden years of the river boats. Undertaking short cruises throughout the year on the Murray River departing from Mary Ann Reserve in Mannum, PS Marion also conducts overnight passenger cruises, including the acclaimed Rockford Steam Powered Dinners as well as being available for private charter cruises.

PS Industry: The Paddle Steamer Industry was built at Goolwa by the State Government and commissioned in 1911 as a workboat for the SA Engineering and Water Supply Department. It was designed specifically to remove snags from the river, clearing the passage for other river steamers and to drive piles where needed. The Industry was later used in the construction and maintenance of the locks and weirs.
When Renmark was threatened by the highest water levels ever recorded along the Murray during the 1956 Flood, the Industry stood by with steam up, ready to evacuate those who remained during those critical days of the flood when a total evacuation appeared imminent.
The PS Industry was retired in 1969 and replaced by the steel work boat 'Maratala', which is the aboriginal name for 'industry'.
The Paddle Steamer was given to the town of Renmark in 1970, where it became a floating static museum along the Renmark riverfront. A move was made by a local committee to investigate the feasibility of restoring the vessel to steam working order. The Renmark Apex Club succeeded them and engaged an Echuca shipwright to assess its restoration.
Another shipwright was engaged, and with the help of volunteers, the 'Industry' was restored and featured in the film, 'River Kings' in 1990. The Friends of the Industry was formed, and the members continue to maintain the vessel, raise funds, and supervise the steaming days. Their work is priceless. With Government funding secured in 1994, what followed was almost a year of hard work by volunteers to bring the vessel to survey standard, which was integral to its operation as a passenger vessel.
In 1995, the PS Industry was recommissioned as a historic passenger type vessel with financial commitments being met by running cruises and taking charters. Thanks to the ongoing efforts of the tireless volunteers and community sponsors, the PS Industry will continue to be enjoyed by many more generations of visitors to Renmark.
Steaming on regular intervals throughout the year, the general public can now experience the ambience of the River Murray and the atmosphere of a bygone era onboard the Industry.
